About the event
A Shakespeare comedy for a midsummer evening. The marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta approaches, but mischief is stirring in the forest. Fairies appear and cause confusion: unfortunate young lovers are enchanted, and a play rehearsal for the wedding party is interrupted. Hopefully the chaos will be untangled before the night is out.
Performed in the magical ruins of the Bishop's Palace, Cathedral Close, St Davids.
This fully lit production is in the open air – please dress to suit the weather.
Seating is provided in the form of folding chairs.
There will be an interval where hot and cold drinks and snacks can be purchased.
Timings for each performance are approximate and may vary due to audience size (length of time needed to serve drinks during the interval). You are welcome to bring your own seating should you wish to but may be advised where is best to place it so as to gat maximum enjoyment from the performance.
